vendors needed for flea market — proceeds benefit the piqua veterans memorial
by Matt Bayman
PIQUA — For the second year in a row, the Lighthouse Café owners — Gary and Pat Wagner — will host a flea market that raises money for the Piqua Veterans Memorial. Mainstreet Piqua Executive Director Lorna Swisher said money raised at the event will be used for the memorial’s maintenance fund, which is set up through the Piqua Chamber of Commerce. “The fund is used for bricks that need to be replaced, or that are damage,” she said. “It’s for general maintenance.” The flea market is scheduled for Sept. 24-25 at the cafe’s parking lot — located on the corner of Main and Water streets in downtown Piqua. Anyone interested in participating in the flea market should call Gary Wagner at (937) 214-6864 or stop by The Lighthouse Café at 213 N. Main St. to pick up an application. Vendors will be charged \$10 per day for set-up fees. The flea market will be limited to the first 30 applicants. Vendors will be required to provide furniture. No food vendors are permitted, however, hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, pop and water will be available at The Lighta.m.) breakfasts in the region. The Lighthouse Cafe also has very famous pork loins and there are lunch and dinner specials every day. Gary and Pat said the
restaurant is for seniors and families that want to enjoy home-made food in a clean, comfortable and often eclectic atmosphere — all while without breaking the bank.
